Why Timbuktu

Once wondered why Timbuktu held such prominence in comics like TinTin and in western literature. I figure these articles try to answer that question. As of posting this I havent read them myself. But this blog is more for ppl to see what I found interesting and for me to come back to some day and recount where I was when I posted it.

And who knows when u read these you might just realize we were thinking the same thing at the same time. What are the chances!!
